We’re back on the road again. I am actually writing this at about 30,000 feet, on a 15-hour flight to Hong Kong. After resting up for a few days, we will get on a 44-day Seabourn cruise from Hong Kong to Vancouver Island, visiting Taiwan, China, South Korea, Japan, and Alaska along the way. For me, this cruise has some historical significance for me. While I have been to some of the spots before, many of them will be revisits from when I was on a Navy deployment back in 1975. In fact, I have been in contact with some of my old shipmates and friends from the time to discuss where we will be going and reminiscing a bit. It will be interesting to see the changes that have taken place in the nearly 50 years since I was there last. For Deb, this will be mostly new territory for her, but she is also interested in seeing these place from my young, single Naval officer’s perspective.

Having been to Hong Kong multiple times over the years for both business and pleasure, we will mostly pass on the tourist sights in favor of seeing what type of exhibitions might be in town that we can take advantage of.

Anyway, let the adventures begin!

I am a traveler and sometimes clay sculptor, following a long career working in consulting. My work allowed me to travel the world extensively and I was hooked. Today, I travel with my wife/best friend to explore new places, meet new people, and learn new things.
